Mimyne is a place people build in and show to each other. These guidelines say what is and isn't allowed anywhere other people can see you, what happens when someone breaks the rules, and how to report or appeal. They sit alongside the Terms of Service — the Terms are the agreement, this is how it is enforced.
Anywhere in Mimyne that another person can see: your username and display name, your profile page and its banner, bio, pinned note, songs and clips, comments you leave, workspaces you share and anything you put in them, and — as they arrive — messages you send and anything you post in a Room or Hub.
What stays on your own computer and is shared with nobody is yours. We don't look at it, and these rules don't reach it.
Rules don't cover everything. Something can be wrong here without appearing on this list, and we'll say so plainly when we act on it.
Most things are a mistake or a bad day, and are dealt with quietly. Repeats and cruelty are not.
Serious things skip the ladder. Sexual content involving minors, credible threats of violence, doxxing campaigns, and attacks on other people's accounts are permanent on the first offence.
You are always told what happened and why. Losing access to your workspaces isn't part of the punishment: what's on your own computer stays yours, and a suspension doesn't delete it.
Report from the place it happened — a profile, a comment, a clip, a shared workspace, or a message. Say what rule it broke and, if it isn't obvious, what we're looking at. Reports are read by hand.
Today that is a small team at Wonderma Corporation. As Mimyne grows, reports go to a small group of auditors who see what they need for the level they work at, and every action any of them takes is written down and kept.
Blocking is yours to use whenever you like and needs no reason: a blocked person can't reach you, and you don't have to justify it to anybody.
If we got it wrong, say so: email mimyne.support@gmail.com from the address on your account with your username, what happened, and why you think it was a mistake. One appeal per action, answered by someone other than whoever made the original call where that's possible. We aim to answer within a few days; we are a small operation and sometimes it takes longer.
Appeals of a permanent ban for sexual content involving minors are not entertained.
When Hubs and Rooms arrive, whoever runs one may set stricter rules than these for their own space, and enforce them there. Nobody can set looser ones: these guidelines are the floor everywhere in Mimyne.
A workspace you share is yours to run. You choose who gets in and what they can do, and you can remove anyone's notes or comments from it. That doesn't override these rules — what's not allowed in Mimyne isn't allowed in your room either.
If something in Mimyne infringes your copyright, email mimyne.support@gmail.com with a link to it, what it copies, proof you hold the rights, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised. We take down what infringes. If yours came down and shouldn't have, tell us the same way.
These guidelines will change as Mimyne grows — messages, Rooms and Hubs each bring their own problems. We'll change the date above, and say so in the app when a change is significant.
